Hi, I'm Aaron.

I'm a Mortgage Loan Originator with Edge Home Finance, LLC. Before this, I spent more than ten years in accounting, reading and preparing the tax returns that lenders now ask you for. Today we offer every kind of home loan, and I specialize in borrowers who work for themselves.

I've sat on the tax side of the desk.

I started in public accounting. I prepared tax returns and kept the books for small businesses, nonprofits, and high-growth tech and crypto startups. I learned how a business really makes money, and how different that can look once it's on paper.

I also worked on the finance side at mortgage and real estate companies. That's where I saw the other half: what happens when those same returns land on a lender's desk.

  1. Then

    Public accounting firms

Tax returns and bookkeeping for small businesses, nonprofits, and tech and crypto startups.

  2. Also

    Mortgage and real estate companies

Finance and accounting roles on the business side, not originating loans.

The write-offs that save business owners money at tax time can sink a mortgage application. Usually nobody tells them until an underwriter says no. I'd rather tell you first.

The question isn't whether you fit a loan. It's which loans fit you.

I start with your returns and your P&L, and I tell you plainly what a lender will see. Sometimes that's a standard loan with the right add-backs. Sometimes a bank statement or DSCR loan fits better. And sometimes the honest answer is "not yet, and here's what would change it."

  1. Straight answers, early

If something's a problem, you'll hear it from me before you apply, not after.

  2. Phone and video call

You don't need to come to an office. We'll talk by phone or video call, through Edge Home Finance, LLC.

  3. I'll work with your CPA

Happy to get on a call with your tax preparer or your real estate agent so everyone's on the same page.

  4. Your documents stay secure

I'll never ask you to email tax returns or bank statements. They go through Edge Home Finance, LLC's secure application.

I also help with regular purchases and refinances. See what I do

Family first. Then everything else.

I live in South Florida with my family, and they come first. Everything I do is about giving them a comfortable life and a better shot at success than I had growing up. I know what a home means to a family, and I treat yours that way.

Outside of work, I'm a lifelong techie and, honestly, a bit of a dork: computers, gadgets, superheroes and comics.

One more thing

I don't give tax or accounting advice here. For tax questions, talk to your own tax preparer.

Let's look at your numbers together.

Book a 15-minute call. Tell me what you're working on and I'll tell you plainly what a lender is likely to see.
